🌿 Welcome Dear CSA Members! 🌿

Welcome back dear CSA members for another awesome veggie-season with the Camire Family!

It's been a heck of a year for our family. A frustrating one, indeed, it's also been a scary one too. As our family has decided to take the largest leap of our lives and sail the world with our family before starting a new life in Israel, and while we wait for the transition to occur (may it be soon), we are still here. Serving you - with love. ****(For those of you who have no idea what we are talking about, see here: From Colorado to Israel. After Eleven Beautiful Years, Ahavah Farm and the Camire Family Says Farewell. A Letter to Our Beloved Community. and also here: Our Last Season? Only G-d Knows the Future. But we will stand strong until the end to ensure you are served!)

There are few things in the world we enjoy more than growing food, and doing so for a community of such wonderful people as yourselves is a blessing we continue to get to enjoy as long as the farm is for sale and for as long as we wait for that transition to happen.

This year was the first year in 11 that we did not do a winter season. It was necessary. We thought that the farm would sell and so when we made the announcement and ended the year last year we thought, surely, "this is it." But alas, the farm did not sell and we continue to wait...and continue to serve...with love and joy😊.

In the meantime, over the winter, the family has been working alongside each-other on a few farm projects and some growth opportunities for us and the kids including starting a few new businesses (ahavahfarmtools.com and ahavahbullion.com). We've also been able to spend some extra time together this winter as well including a trip to Texas for a month-long sailing adventure in the Gulf of America! We camped on some islands and made some fires on some beaches and sailed at 12 knots and crashed through 10ft waves. We fished and explored the Texas coast and had a wonderful time watching sunsets, cargo ships and living the marine-life⛵🐟🏄‍♂️.

We also got the farm fully planted and ready for the spring season. Yep, the farm is completely planted for the spring season, and it looks amazing. The turnips, the radishes, the carrots, lettuces, kale, swiss-chard...and more all look fantastic and the first weeks of the spring season should be some of the best first few weeks we have ever seen!

We also, of course, would be amiss if we didn't mention that although we do have plans and the farm continues to be for sale (with a pending contract possible), we are most-certainly excited to continue to be able to serve you as long as we continue to wait. We are looking forward to the spring season; when the wind dies down, the and temperatures warm up, the bees, the flowers, the plants all start to bloom and life seems to begin anew. It's a wonderful season. Colorado is beautiful. Our soil is nurturing. Our community is supportive and loving...and our veggies are the best there is. Life is good. ❤️🙏

Here's to a great 2026!🥂

What to expect:

🌟 2026 Marks Our 12th CSA Year! 🌟

We’re so excited to celebrate our 12th year of offering the Ahavah Farm CSA—and we’re proud to say that it just keeps getting better! Over the past decade, we've poured our hearts into building one of the most respected CSA programs in the entire country. In fact, we were honored to be recognized as the Most Sustainable Farm in the United States for two years in a row (2023 and 2024)—a title we carry with deep humility and responsibility.

These accolades are a result of incredibly high standards and an unwavering commitment to our values. While we’ll be the first to admit we’re not perfect, we work passionately every single day to ensure your CSA experience reflects the very best we have to offer. We hope it’s not just your best CSA experience ever—but the beginning of a long relationship with our FARMily. 💚

🥕 VARIETY: Thoughtfully Balanced and Uniquely Grown

One of the cornerstones of our CSA program is balance. We intentionally spread out the value and variety of your shares evenly across the entire season. That means you won’t see an early glut of produce followed by sparse shares later—or vice versa. We work hard to keep your boxes exciting and nourishing from week one through the very end.

We grow a wide variety of crops—many that other farms don’t—but we also avoid overloading your shares with too many obscure or unfamiliar items. Our goal is to offer mostly beloved staples, with the occasional fun or unique variety sprinkled in for culinary adventure.

And let’s talk microgreens! Our nutrient-dense, gourmet microgreens are so popular that some members have told us they joined just for the micros! 🥰 We usually include one or two varieties each week, and we’re confident you’ll fall in love with them too.

💲 VALUE: Always More Than You Paid For

At Ahavah Farm, we believe in generosity and transparency. Our goal is to give you more than you paid for, every single season. While we can’t guarantee specific amounts due to the nature of farming, our target value goals are:

  • >5% more value for Small shares

  • >10% more for Medium shares

  • >15% more for Large shares

We grow your food like we’re feeding our own family—because we are!

🍂 SEASONAL EXPECTATIONS: A Year-Round Celebration of Local Food

Our CSA is built to reflect the true rhythms of nature, and every season brings its own special treasures.

Fall and Spring are hidden gems in the CSA world. After the farmers markets close, that’s when local support matters most—and we continue delivering fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-rich food. You’ll enjoy hearty roots like carrots, turnips, and radishes, plus an abundance of winter greens like kale, lettuce, mustards and microgreens.

Summer is the crown jewel of the year, packed with crowd-pleasers like tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and peppers. But truly, every season has its own magic. By eating seasonally, you connect more deeply with your food, the land, and the community that grows it.

We also make an effort to keep variety consistent throughout the year, so you can rely on certain staples for meal planning and your favorite recipes, no matter the season.

SUPPORTING LOCAL

🌾 100% Local, 100% Grown By Us—Real Farming, Real Food 🌾

One of the most unique and meaningful aspects of the Ahavah Farm CSA is that everything you receive is grown entirely by our farm, right here in Peyton, Colorado. That means your food is truly local, fresh, and grown with integrity—but it also means that, like all real farming, Mother Nature has the final say.

Because of this, you may notice some fluctuation in your share sizes from week to week. There may be surprises—sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. You’ll also likely discover vegetables you’ve never tried before (actually, we’re counting on it—and that’s part of the fun! 🌟). We love introducing you to new flavors, textures, and varieties that help expand your kitchen creativity and your connection to the seasons.

We take our job seriously and work hard to protect our crops from hail, wind, pests, and extreme weather using natural, chemical-free methods like row covers and strategic planting. But this is real farming, and no system is ever foolproof.

Despite the challenges, we’re proud to say that year after year, season after season, we consistently provide top-quality produce that’s vibrant, delicious, and nourishing. Thank you for supporting truly local agriculture—and for being part of a CSA that grows with purpose. 💚

🌿 HOLDS, CREDITS & DOUBLE SHARES

One of the things that makes the Ahavah Farm CSA truly special is our flexible hold and credit system. If you're going on vacation or need to take a week off, you can place a HOLD and receive a CREDIT to use for a DOUBLE SHARE in a future week. Here’s how it works:

How to Place a Hold and Request a Double Share:

1. Email your hold request to contact@ahavahfarm.com📅 Deadline: Midnight the Sunday before the holdThis helps us adjust our harvest accordingly and reduce waste.

2. Enjoy your vacation or time off! 🌞

3. When you're ready to use your double share, email us at contact@ahavahfarm.com📅 Deadline: Midnight the Sunday before you want to receive your doubleThis allows us to plan to harvest a bit extra for you that week.

4. Pick up and enjoy your extra-large share of fresh, delicious produce! 🥕🥬

📌 Notes & Restrictions:

  • We may occasionally ask you to shift your requested double week depending on availability and harvest conditions.

  • Only one credit may be used per week (no triple shares).

  • Credits do not roll over to a new season and are use-or-lose each season.

  • Credits are not guaranteed—availability depends on the season and harvest volume.

This system helps us reduce waste, manage our crops responsibly, and keep things running smoothly for everyone. Thank you for planning ahead and helping us make the most of every harvest! 💚

🛍️ Picking Up Your Share

We’ve made the pickup process simple and stress-free! Since all shares are now prepackaged, grabbing your weekly veggies is quick and easy.

Here’s how it works:

  1. When a representative is present: Just let them know your name, and they’ll hand you your labeled prepacked bag—easy as that!

  2. If no representative is present:

    • Locate the pickup bin with your name on it.

    • Open the bin and find the bag labeled with your name.

    • Take your bag, re-seal the bin, and you’re done!

    • No sign-ins, no papers, no lines—just fresh produce with your name on it! 🌿

♻️ Please return your CSA bags😁🙏!

We reuse the bags to reduce waste. Each pickup location will have a bag return bin—just drop yours in next time you come. Thank you for helping us stay sustainable! 💚

🌟 It’s Going to Be a Great Year—And We’re So Grateful You’re With Us! ❤️

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome you to another beautiful season at Ahavah Farm! While we’re starting out just a bit behind schedule (thank you, Colorado weather!), we’re full of hope, optimism, and excitement—this year is already shaping up to be abundant, and we believe it’s going to be a fantastic year.

Our family and farm team are deeply committed to growing and sharing the freshest, most nutrient-dense, and environmentally responsible food possible for our community...

...But more than that, we’re devoted to building something bigger than just vegetables. We're building community, and we believe that takes all of us working together.

💚 As we always say: Without "U" at the center, there’s no C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y!

So we invite you—no, we implore you—to walk this path alongside us. Join the agricultural revolution. Help restore the land, rebuild community, and reconnect people to their food.

Here’s how you can be a part of it all:

🌱 Volunteer on the farm

🌱 Offer a class or teach a skill

🌱 Join our events and festivals

🌱 Donate to ACI to help feed families in need

🌱 Get to know us—stop by, say hello, ask questions!

We hope this CSA experience is more than just a weekly bag of produce. We hope it’s a source of connection, nourishment, inspiration, and joy for you and your family. Make the most of what we offer—from classes and articles to markets, events, and community outreach.

We love you so much! Let's have an awesome season!💖
