📣 Pre-Season CSA Meeting Announcement!

Mark your calendars! Our pre-season meeting will be held on Monday, June 16th at 6:00 PM (MT) via Facebook Live. This is a great opportunity to get all your questions answered and hear important updates as we kick off the summer season. We’ll do our best to keep it short and sweet—our goal is 45 minutes with a question and answer session at the end.

🎥 How to Join: To tune in and participate, you must be a member of the Ahavah Community Facebook Group before the meeting begins. The video will remain posted in the group for about a month so you can watch (or re-watch) at your convenience.

📩 Not on Facebook? No problem! The recording will also be posted on YouTube and emailed to all members afterward.

What to expect:

🌟 2025 Marks Our 11th CSA Year! 🌟

We’re so excited to celebrate our 11th year of offering the Ahavah Farm CSA—and we’re proud to say that it just keeps getting better! Over the past decade, we've poured our hearts into building one of the most respected CSA programs in the entire country. In fact, we were honored to be recognized as the Most Sustainable Farm in the United States for two years in a row (2023 and 2024)—a title we carry with deep humility and responsibility.

These accolades are a result of incredibly high standards and an unwavering commitment to our values. While we’ll be the first to admit we’re not perfect, we work passionately every single day to ensure your CSA experience reflects the very best we have to offer. We hope it’s not just your best CSA experience ever—but the beginning of a long relationship with our FARMily. 💚

🥕 VARIETY: Thoughtfully Balanced and Uniquely Grown

One of the cornerstones of our CSA program is balance. We intentionally spread out the value and variety of your shares evenly across the entire season. That means you won’t see an early glut of produce followed by sparse shares later—or vice versa. We work hard to keep your boxes exciting and nourishing from week one through the very end.

We grow a wide variety of crops—many that other farms don’t—but we also avoid overloading your shares with too many obscure or unfamiliar items. Our goal is to offer mostly beloved staples, with the occasional fun or unique variety sprinkled in for culinary adventure.

And let’s talk microgreens! Our nutrient-dense, gourmet microgreens are so popular that some members have told us they joined just for the micros! 🥰 We usually include one or two varieties each week, and we’re confident you’ll fall in love with them too.

💲 VALUE: Always More Than You Paid For

At Ahavah Farm, we believe in generosity and transparency. Our goal is to give you more than you paid for, every single season. While we can’t guarantee specific amounts due to the nature of farming, our target value goals are:

  • >5% more value for Small shares

  • >10% more for Medium shares

  • >15% more for Large shares

We grow your food like we’re feeding our own family—because we are!

🍂 SEASONAL EXPECTATIONS: A Year-Round Celebration of Local Food

Our CSA is built to reflect the true rhythms of nature, and every season brings its own special treasures.

Fall, Winter, and Spring are hidden gems in the CSA world. After the farmers markets close, that’s when local support matters most—and we continue delivering fresh, flavorful, and nutrient-rich food. You’ll enjoy hearty roots like carrots, turnips, and radishes, plus an abundance of winter greens like kale, lettuce, mustards and microgreens.

Summer is the crown jewel of the year, packed with crowd-pleasers like tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, and peppers. But truly, every season has its own magic. By eating seasonally, you connect more deeply with your food, the land, and the community that grows it.

We also make an effort to keep variety consistent throughout the year, so you can rely on certain staples for meal planning and your favorite recipes, no matter the season.

SUPPORTING LOCAL

🌾 100% Local, 100% Grown By Us—Real Farming, Real Food 🌾

One of the most unique and meaningful aspects of the Ahavah Farm CSA is that everything you receive is grown entirely by our farm, right here in Peyton, Colorado. That means your food is truly local, fresh, and grown with integrity—but it also means that, like all real farming, Mother Nature has the final say.

Because of this, you may notice some fluctuation in your share sizes from week to week. There may be surprises—sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. You’ll also likely discover vegetables you’ve never tried before (actually, we’re counting on it—and that’s part of the fun! 🌟). We love introducing you to new flavors, textures, and varieties that help expand your kitchen creativity and your connection to the seasons.

We take our job seriously and work hard to protect our crops from hail, wind, pests, and extreme weather using natural, chemical-free methods like row covers and strategic planting. But this is real farming, and no system is ever foolproof.

Despite the challenges, we’re proud to say that year after year, season after season, we consistently provide top-quality produce that’s vibrant, delicious, and nourishing. Thank you for supporting truly local agriculture—and for being part of a CSA that grows with purpose. 💚

🚚 Farm-to-Door Deliveries 🚚

🚪 Door-to-Door Delivery Area 🚪

Home deliveries are available only within the highlighted area between Denver and Colorado Springs (see the grey zone on the map to the right).

📍Please note: We are not able to deliver outside this region, and delivery is offered for a fee to ensure we can sustainably serve our members within this range.

📝 Signing Up for Home Delivery is Easy!

1️⃣ Go to ahavahfarm.com/orders

2️⃣ Scroll to the bottom of the customization and order form—you’ll see the option to add home delivery for the following week.

3️⃣ Need an emergency delivery for the current week? No problem! Just send us an email at contact@ahavahfarm.com, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Your farm-fresh veggies, right to your door! 🚪🥕

All home deliveries are made on Fridays between 5:00 AM and 3:00 PM (though most are completed by 1:00 PM). Because of this wide delivery window, we strongly recommend leaving a cooler at your front door to keep your produce fresh until you’re able to bring it inside.

Each of our drivers has a packed schedule with 30+ stops, so efficiency is key. Our delivery software optimizes routes dynamically, which means delivery times can shift week to week and we’re not able to guarantee a specific time for your stop.

💡 Best practice? Be prepared with a cooler, and rest easy knowing your fresh, local veggies are on their way! 🥬🥕

Here’s how it works:

  • Deliveries between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM will be made quietly—your bag will be placed at your door or in your cooler without a knock or doorbell to avoid waking anyone.

  • Deliveries after 8:00 AM will include a knock or doorbell ring, and then we’ll place your bag on your doorstep or in your cooler.

We aim to keep your produce safe, fresh, and convenient—thank you for helping us make that possible! 🌱

NEWSLETTER AND REGULAR COMMUNICATION

📬 Important Update: CSA Communication Is Evolving!

As part of the exciting changes to our CSA program, we’re updating how we communicate with you moving forward. While we will be reducing our full-length newsletters to once per quarter, you’ll still receive weekly emails every Thursday with all the essential information you need.

These weekly emails will include:

  • Non-customized share contents

  • CSA updates and reminders

  • Important announcements and seasonal details

The quarterly newsletter will now serve as a more in-depth publication, packed with:

  • Farm news and big-picture updates

  • Seasonal schedules and calendar highlights

  • Articles, videos, photos, and more!

📣 Where to Find the Newsletter & Updates:

We’re excited to streamline communications while still keeping you well-informed and connected to everything happening at Ahavah Farm. Thank you for being part of our FARMily! 🌱

🌿 HOLDS, CREDITS & DOUBLE SHARES

One of the things that makes the Ahavah Farm CSA truly special is our flexible hold and credit system. If you're going on vacation or need to take a week off, you can place a HOLD and receive a CREDIT to use for a DOUBLE SHARE in a future week. Here’s how it works:

How to Place a Hold and Request a Double Share:

1. Email your hold request to contact@ahavahfarm.com📅 Deadline: Midnight the Sunday before the holdThis helps us adjust our harvest accordingly and reduce waste.

2. Enjoy your vacation or time off! 🌞

3. When you're ready to use your double share, email us at contact@ahavahfarm.com📅 Deadline: Midnight the Sunday before you want to receive your doubleThis allows us to plan to harvest a bit extra for you that week.

4. Pick up and enjoy your extra-large share of fresh, delicious produce! 🥕🥬

📌 Notes & Restrictions:

  • We may occasionally ask you to shift your requested double week depending on availability and harvest conditions.

  • Only one credit may be used per week (no triple shares).

  • Credits do not roll over to a new season unless you are enrolled in our auto-renewal program.

  • Credits are not guaranteed—availability depends on the season and harvest volume.

This system helps us reduce waste, manage our crops responsibly, and keep things running smoothly for everyone. Thank you for planning ahead and helping us make the most of every harvest! 💚

🛍️ Picking Up Your Share

We’ve made the pickup process simple and stress-free! Since all shares are now prepackaged, grabbing your weekly veggies is quick and easy.

Here’s how it works:

  1. When a representative is present: Just let them know your name, and they’ll hand you your labeled prepacked bag—easy as that!

  2. If no representative is present:

    • Locate the pickup bin with your name on it.

    • Open the bin and find the bag labeled with your name.

    • Take your bag, re-seal the bin, and you’re done!

    • No sign-ins, no papers, no lines—just fresh produce with your name on it! 🌿

♻️ Please return your CSA bags😁🙏!

We reuse the bags to reduce waste. Each pickup location will have a bag return bin—just drop yours in next time you come. Thank you for helping us stay sustainable! 💚

🌿 About Ahavah Community Initiative 🌿

100% Community funded, without you, we don't donate! Help us get to $1 Million donated by 2026!

Founded in April of 2018, Ahavah Community Initiative (ACI) is a unique, grassroots 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a heartfelt mission: to connect individuals and families facing food insecurity with fresh, locally-farmed, regeneratively-grown produce, while also offering education that promotes healthy living and environmental stewardship.

We do this by:

✅ Offering free CSA memberships to those in need

✅ Hosting classes, events, and workshops

✅ Providing free garden plants and resources…and more—all with the goal of growing a healthier, more connected, and sustainable community.

ACI is powered by people who deeply believe in the mission, including our own Camire family and board members, who personally donate to support it.

💚 Do you believe in this mission too?

If you’re able, we invite you to donate and be a part of this vital work. Every contribution makes a real difference in the lives of local families.

👉 Donate or learn more at: www.ahavahcommunity.org

Interested in making a tax-deductible donation to ACI? Ahavah Community Initiative is registered as a 501c3 with the State of Colorado as a non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

💚 BRING-A-BUCK! 💚The amazing power of community—just one dollar at a time!

Each week at every CSA pickup location, you'll see a bin or jar labeled Bring-A-Buck (weekly donations also available online during customization, or on our website via a weekly auto-draft). It may look small, but its impact is enormous. We’re asking all of our members to consider bringing just $1–$5 each week to help us fund CSA memberships for families in need.

You might think your few dollars won’t make a difference—but they do!

Crowdfunding only works when everyone chips in, and this simple act of generosity has become the #1 way we raise funds for Ahavah Community Initiative’s food donation efforts. It’s also the easiest way for our entire community to take part in meaningful change.

One dollar. Every week. Big impact.

Together, we’re feeding bodies, lifting spirits, and growing a stronger, more compassionate community. 🌍💚

🌟 It’s Going to Be a Great Year—And We’re So Grateful You’re With Us! ❤️

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome you to another beautiful season at Ahavah Farm! While we’re starting out just a bit behind schedule (thank you, Colorado weather!), we’re full of hope, optimism, and excitement—this year is already shaping up to be abundant, and we believe it’s going to be a fantastic year.

Our family and farm team are deeply committed to growing and sharing the freshest, most nutrient-dense, and environmentally responsible food possible for our community...

...But more than that, we’re devoted to building something bigger than just vegetables. We're building community, and we believe that takes all of us working together.

💚 As we always say: Without "U" at the center, there’s no C-O-M-M-U-N-I-T-Y!

So we invite you—no, we implore you—to walk this path alongside us. Join the agricultural revolution. Help restore the land, rebuild community, and reconnect people to their food.

Here’s how you can be a part of it all:

🌱 Volunteer on the farm

🌱 Offer a class or teach a skill

🌱 Join our events and festivals

🌱 Donate to ACI to help feed families in need

🌱 Get to know us—stop by, say hello, ask questions!

We hope this CSA experience is more than just a weekly bag of produce. We hope it’s a source of connection, nourishment, inspiration, and joy for you and your family. Make the most of what we offer—from classes and articles to markets, events, and community outreach.

We love you so much! Let's have an awesome season!💖
